Food Program in Somaliland
The International French Association for four years continues its humanitarian activities in the World.
We pay much attention to the Republic of Somalia, carrying out there our social and humanitarian projects to support the local population.
The Federative Republic of Somalia for the last ten years, several times faced with the elements of hunger that caused the death of thousands of people.
In November 2016, due to the drought in the country, the Somaliland government appealed to the world community, as well as to the Salsabil Association, urgently to take part in rescuing people
The element of hunger can lead to unpredictable consequences and to a humanitarian catastrophe in the region.
In consequence of systematic malnutrition and dehydration, children in the first place, who have not reached adulthood can die.
Association Salsabil, responded promptly to the call for help. In the shortest time, we have issued all the necessary legal documents; Memorandum of understanding between the parties, two-way contract on the joint project and other administrative formalities stipulated by the legislation of the French Republic.
Our project coordinator went to the place of the disaster in Somaliland, where, with his direct participation program was launched to rescue the starving.
The Association was allocated funds from the endowment Fund for the purchase of essential goods — rice, sugar, dates, dried milk, butter, flour. During this campaign, more than two thousand starving families were provided with food.
