On February 23, 1944, the deportation of Chechens and Ingush was one of the darkest and most painful events in the history of the Vainakh people, resulting in the loss of thousands of lives of our compatriots, depriving Chechens and Ingush of their homeland and their homes. This day of mourning is known to all Vainakhs. History has recorded this day as a massive genocide against our people.

We have no right to forget those who died during those terrible days and became victims of this perfidious crime.

In honor of this tragic date this year, the Salsabil Association has built a well in memory of the victims of the deportation in the Republic of Chad.

Well N°3888 in the memory of the deportation victims (23/02/1944)
