Nearly 33 million people were affected by several weeks of heavy monsoon rains and floods that moved from the north to the south of the country. Nearly 1,500 people died and 1,600 injured. One million homes have been destroyed or flooded.

Millions of people are forced to leave their homes to save themselves from the water that has engulfed more than a third of the territory.

The government of Pakistan has reached out to the world asking for help, and international associations are looking for ways to save these people. Our association and you, therefore, cannot remain spectators and must act.

Natural disasters are a test from Allah. It is a test for the victims of these disasters, but also a test for those who have not been affected by these misfortunes and who lack nothing.

Allah gives wealth and wealth to whom He wishes and deprives of it whom He wishes, and the best of them is he who spends for the Pleasure of Allah.

With the help of the Almighty, we can together with you, support our brothers and sisters who have lost their property and their livelihood. By helping them, we too may be able to protect ourselves from loss of property and other misfortunes.

The Prophet, may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Whoever relieves a believer from calamity in this world, Allah will relieve him from calamity on the Day of Resurrection”.
